Love the Whalen Jasper Collection. The file looks great in my spare room. The room is small, so I needed furniture that didn't take up a lot of room. This piece worked great. It was a little difficult putting together, but not as bad as some. The problem was installing the draw part. READ THE DIRECTIONS CAREFULLY. The picture to install the draw is shown upside down, so the piece to connect the draw can easily be put in backward or wrong. Once put together, the file draw slides with ease and looks great. It looks a little modern with the chrome and glass, but it looks great in my small room and doesn't look crowded in the room. The glass top does show dust, but looks great and well worth purchasing. It a sturdy piece and doesn't look cheap. I also purchase the matching desk. The glass top is strong and durable.

I like it. Once Assembled I really like the look. I would love it if they made a night stand with similar design.
On Assembly it took me about an hour definitely no less.
Parts all aligned and included with the one extra piece for each needed. Instructions was pretty easy to follow I never needed to read but I would say they need to mark orientation of the pieces for assembly. That was the hardest part. I didn't know if left or right sometimes.
I would and want to buy again.

I really love this item, but I had reduce it by 2 stars for the horrible instructions. Parts were missing labels, the instructions were printed wrong and it took longer than necessary to put the item together. Other than that, I really like this file pier. I will most likely buy another to complete the set now that I know how to put it together.

I looked up the reviews for this piece of furniture before buying it and was somewhat concerned by people saying that pieces weren't cut properly and that the drawer wouldn't close.
I have to say that I did not encounter any of these problems. The drawer fits perfectly and everything is cut very precisely. The whole file pier is very well put together and sturdy. It's possible that I just happened to get lucky and didn't have any defects, but I believe that the people who gave this piece of furniture a bad review actually put it together incorrectly.
My only criticism is that this is the most complicated piece of furniture that I have ever put together, and there are a few steps in the instructions that are not clearly explained, especially in regards to assembling the drawer. There is one specific step where it is very easy to accidentally reverse two of the pieces which would cause the drawer not to fit correctly, and I think that this is a common mistake that people could make if they aren't paying extremely close attention to the diagrams.
Overall I think that it's a great product, but very complicated. Don't even attempt to put it together by yourself, it's more of a 3 person job.
